Clan Xhale was formed late in August 2001 by frustrated gamer IronJohnson. He found only a few clans mentioned on the internet for Quake 3 Gaming and quickly started idling in the OTH channel. After fruitless requests to join their clan (and others), IronJohnson really wanted to be involved in scrimmages and matches and to compete amoungst his gaming peers in general. So after a brief stint in the clan Railers from Hell, (where he met ZEROBURN), IronJohnson ended up trying to revive a dying clans MOD Team Arena over at New Century Gamers and took over as Leader. Unfortunately unsuccessful at reviving the dead, IronJohnson shortened his name to IronJ and started recruiting for "his own clan". Calling the clan exhale, he quickly took the advice of one his recruits, boner, to shorten the name to xhale. Thus clan xhale was born.

Between then and now, IronJ has run the <X> clan of xhale in many MODS over these past 8 years, but mainly settling in the Quake 3 All Weapons Freeze Tag MOD for quite some time. When Quake 4 came out, is when our community and clan started to dwindle. Our clans membership has seen highs of 25 and lows of 3, we currently we have 6 members actively playing. We are also playing Call of Duty 4 freeze MOD now, daily. Find us on XI or CL2 Servers!. You may even run into a few of our former members, now totaling 55!
